Exercise Ball – Professional Grade Anti Burst Tested with Hand Pump- Supports 2200lbs- Includes Workout Guide Access- 55cm/65cm/75cm/85cm Balance Balls (Purple, 55 cm)

This ball will not let you down…

I ordered this Professional Grade Exercise Ball on the promises that it made concerning it’s anti-burst properties and it’s ability to hold a lot of weight. I wasn’t sure what size to order so I contacted the company and they got right back to me; I ended up ordering the Purple 55″ one. I am 5 ft. 5 in tall and weigh around 230. I have had three back surgeries and have chronic health problems that really limit my activity. I need to build up my core strength and my muscles in my back that have been damaged due to the surgeries.

I want to build up strength so that I can sit at the computer desk, in front of my photography booth while I take pictures, or maybe in front of the TV for short periods of time. I have seen these used in offices and have talked to people who say that it makes a world of difference, if you can find the right ball. Of course the worst thing that could happen to my pride and my back would be for the ball to burst unexpectedly and leave me on the floor. I know I am overweight, I don’t want a purple ball to emphasize the fact.

Advantages:

* The ball fit me perfectly, just like their customer service rep told me it would
* The purple color is more of a soft lavender, very feminine
* The ball has raised anti-slip ridges
* Made of heavy duty, Latex free, PVC
* Tested extensively, it is not going to break unexpectedly and I am not going to land on the ground on my bum
* Log on to www.liveinfinintely.com/foreverflex for their free workouts, exercise ball routines, free bonuses, and free PDF poster

Disadvantages:

* None

It took me several days to learn to sit on this and feel at ease and I still can not do it for a long time. Part of that is due to a learning curve and part of it is due to extreme caution. I just have to be exceedingly careful not to injure my back in any way. I don’t have anything to compare this to since I have never tried to sit on one of these before. It is soft, certainly softer than sitting in an office chair even while using extra seat pads to help with pain. I feel confident that I can build up some strength by continuing to increase the time I spend simply sitting on the ball.

When I received this, I noticed right away on the front of the box that it says it has a limit of 2200 pounds. I thought that was a typo on the product listing and the limit was 220, lol, but I was going to try anyway since I am so close to that weight. I was very happy to see it was not a typo! The box contained the ball, two plugs, a plug remover, and the hand pump. I tried the hand pump and it works but then I cheated and sent it outside with my husband to be filled with the air compressor. I didn’t know I would have to fill it 80% full and then wait 24 hours for it to stretch and then fill it some more, so be sure to read the directions. Your ball will be properly inflated when the outermost edge of the ball is the same distance from the wall as the size ball you bought. For example, I ordered the 55″ ball so the instructions said to place the box it came in 55″ from the wall. When the ball fits exactly in that space – from the wall to the box – it is full.

A properly sized ball should allow your knees to be at a 90 degree angle while sitting on it with your thighs parallel to the floor. For those of us who may not remember what parallel and 90 degrees mean, your body should essentially make the shape of a chair when you are sitting on the ball. Your thighs should go straight out in front of you, your legs bend at your knees, and then go straight to the ground. Your knees should not be higher than your thighs and your feet should rest on the ground, not hang in the air.

This exercise ball is great for beginners like me and I think that people who have used one before will really like the features this one has such as the anti-slip ridges and the no burst construction.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I ordered this Exercise Ball -Professional Grade Anti Burst Tested with Hand Pump- Supports 2200lbs- Includes Workout Guide Access- 55cm/65cm/75cm/85cm Balance Balls (Purple, 55 cm) on Amazon and received it for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Hope, Strength, and Gratitude

Hope, Strength, and Gratitude

where do you find inspiration

Yesterday was one of those days that started out with a lot of mixed emotions. I have a very dear friend who is struggling right now and I don’t know how to reach her.  I can’t find the words to be both supportive of her problems but at the same time motivate her to find the strength within herself to seek the help she needs.  I ended up using some straight talk, hoping that tough love would help. Instead, I feel like I made the situation worse.

In the midst of all that worry and doubt I was still thinking about my post concerning Gratitude that I had been reworking for over a week. I wanted it to be a great piece to help not only others look at what they are grateful for, but to hopefully inspire me to find the words that I needed for my friend.

I finally logged on to my computer and instantly a friend pinged me about some great news concerning a reviewing opportunity but then shared something very special with me. What had started as a pretty bad day turned into a day that brought me back to a more settled place.  A place where I found Hope, Strength, and Gratitude.

Here is the story my friend shared with me. We decided to both do blog posts about this today since it impacted us both so much.  But more than that, we want to share the story of a special family and one very special little girl.

Hi ya’ll! My Good Friday started off like any other day with my 2 teenagers. Pretty rough! They woke up late and were rushed so neither of them was in the best of moods.  I knew my husband and I needed to hurry and get them ready and on the bus so we could get our day started. Yes, every morning is a tag team with my husband and I because that is what it takes to get our 16 and 14 year old boys ready and out the door for school.

Cancer picked the wrong princessI had a doctor’s appointment at the VA and was running late myself so I rushed out the door and made it in time. I realized I forgot a VERY IMPORTANT package because I decided to do something different today.  I belong to a Jeep Club and I met this wonderful woman named Robyn and her 3 yr old daughter
Abigayil online. I was going to meet them in person for the first time.  I started talking to Robyn because I heard the story about her 3 yr old daughter Abigayil having B- Cell A.L.L Leukemia. My heart broke at the thought of a 3 year having Leukemia!! I was trying to find a way I could do something to brighten both Abigayil’s and Robyn’s day so I got some stuff donated. In my rush to get to the VA in time I forgot it so my awesome husband brought it to the VA for me.

I needed help taking the stuff up to Abby so I found 2 Paramedics who followed me over to the Children’s Hospital and helped me take it up. For the life of me I can’t remember the name of the company and I forgot to take pictures of the paramedics. I was just way too excited to be finally meeting Robyn and Abby after talking online for a while.  The Paramedics left and I went to move my Jeep only to find a ticket on the windshield.  One of the paramedics walked up to my car and took the ticket and walked into the hospital. He then came back out, ripped it in half and said you don’t have to worry about this.

Cancer picked the wrong princessWow!!  I found a handicapped parking spot and got back upstairs and we were moved the Chemo room and we were waiting on her levels to see if she was moving up to a higher dose (which is good) or staying at a lower dose. Come to find out after a long wait that is her levels are GREAT!! Abby had to get fluids before she could get her first round of Chemo so that took 15 minutes and then each round of Chemo lasts about 30 minutes.  It is 15 minutes of Chemo and 15 minutes of fluid and we did this twice. While she was being a trooper, Robyn and I started talking and I found myself talking about my troubles and my boys and how they are different.

They are ADHD, ADD and “On the Spectrum”. For those of you who don’t know what that means, Autistic is the Spectrum, but they are NOT Autistic. I told her about how difficult it has been raising them and that now in this present day it is not easy. They both are on Mood Stabilizer, Sleep Meds as well as their ADHD and ADD medication.  Our life can get pretty rough!! She is so easy to talk to, I even found myself talking about my military career and how I ended up disabled.

Abby cancer picked the wrong princessRobyn and Abigayil showed me and gave me the most WONDERFUL gifts today!! Even when I was telling Robyn about my problems all she did was lift me up!! In the midst of her own problems with her daughter having Leukemia, she found compassion and empathy for me.  She showed me HOPE again!! Something I think I recently lost. Abigayil, Oh The MIGHTY little Abigayil!! Smart as a whip, showed me STRENGTH!! Something I really needed because I have felt so weak lately. They both have shown me and made me GRATEFUL for what I have! Yes, the trials and all!! I am ever so GRATEFUL now with renewed HOPE and STRENGTH Thanks to Robyn and Abigayil.

I have included both the link to  Abigayil’s Fight against cancer- A.L.L  Support Page and her Go Fund me Page. Please take some time out of your day to visit both. Like and Share the page, please!! Please if you can do anything to help, do so, if you can’t then please, just share it with a bit of background information.

cancer picked the wrong princessCancer is indiscriminate and can strike any of our families at any time.  This time, cancer has picked the wrong little Princess, every time, cancer picks the wrong person.  Join in the Fight Against Leukemia and Cancer by helping to support Abigayil’s family through her GoFundMe page or her page where you can buy a shirt to raise awareness for Leukemia. The shirt has a really great theme; When fear knocks, let faith open the door ~ Hope anchors the soul ~ Hebrews 6:19.  Abby will be needing at least 2.5 years of Chemo. That’s a lifetime for a child. Please help take some burden off this special family.

Serendipity ~ Once again I found something very special that I wasn’t expecting to find, but something I so desperately needed at that moment.  Hope, Strength, and Gratitude came from a little girl and her mother who are brave, strong, determined, and giving. Thank You Abby and Robyn!
